About Drywall Business Insurance

Drywall Business Insurance is a specialty brand of Wexford Insurance, LLC, a licensed independent insurance agency based in Greenwood, Indiana. We insure the businesses that hang, tape, finish and repair drywall.

Why a brand for drywall businesses

A drywall business is not a generic small contractor. The places it gets hurt are specific: a fall from stilts, a ladder or a scaffold; dust and damage in a home that was finished before the crew arrived; a crack or a seam that shows through the paint after the job is closed out; tools taken from a van; a hanging or taping crew brought in for a busy month that carries no insurance of its own. Those exposures sit across several policies at once — general liability, workers’ compensation, tools and equipment and commercial auto — and the seams between them are where owners find out what they did not buy.

We built this brand so the conversation starts from that work rather than from a generic application. Whether the business works in residential or commercial buildings, in new construction or remodeling, with board, plaster, acoustical ceilings or metal-stud framing, the drywall contractor program is written around what the crews actually do.

How we place the account

We are an independent agency, so no single insurance company owns the answer. We place each account with the markets that want the class, and appetite for drywall work moves with the state, the mix of residential and commercial jobs and how much of the hanging and finishing is subcontracted. We do not publish premium figures: what a program costs depends on the operation, and we would rather explain what moves the number and then quote it.

What we are not

We are an agency, not an insurer. Coverage is placed with licensed insurance companies and is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy that company issues. Your own policy wording controls.
